It’s the end of an era. It’s been announced that the world famous Roscoe’s Chicken ‘n Waffles on Pico will be closing its doors for good after a 32 year run.
The restaurant is located in central Los Angeles on Pico. Roscoe’s has had so much success throughout the years, serving so many families. The restaurant took to their Instagram account to express that they will be closing in order to focus on their newest location on LaBrea and Washington. They said this new location is bigger and will be able to accommodate more customers comfortably.
Over the years, the Roscoe’s on Pico gained a lot of exposure. The most notable being when former President Obama showed up unannounced and ordered a three wing special, which has since been named “The Obama Special”. The restaurant has also been featured in many songs and shows such as The Game’s “All That Lady” where he said “let’s hit the Roscoes on Pico I’m in a hood mood.” Also being featured in YG’s “Left Right” music video. The restaurant has also been a prime film location in Issa Rae’s Insecure.
