Grow, Go.
It’s always refreshing when artists are transparent with their struggles. We’re all human and go through similar experiences. Emcee Chris Rivers delivers “Be You” where he puts his dark moments in the spotlight over Mick Jenkins’ “Vibe”. In the same breath he offers liberation with prayer, determination and staying true to self. Growing is all part of the process and sometimes it hurts. But it’s ok. Listen below.
Furthermore: The message in “Be You” was so fresh that I decided to dig deeper into Chris’ catalog. And I must say it’s impressive. Just last week he dropped “You’re Lonely” a bodied flip on Drake’s “I’m Upset.” Definitely looking forward to more. Peep it and a few more tracks from Chris below.
*After then stamp of approval from my ears it was interesting to learn that Chris is the son of Big Pun. May his legacy live on.
