With a definite sound, the DMV rhymer unlocks his thoughts of an intimate night with “her.” Nonetheless, known for his keen wordplay and substantial metaphors, Jay actually unmasks that “her” is the music industry.

In my album SubTrap,Ā I refer to the music industry as “Her” — a woman that, at first, was only supposed to be a one night stand, but ended up making me fall in love before I could even get a taste of what she had to offer. It’s the perfect metaphor for my thoughts entering this industry versus my thoughts actually being in it. At first I thought I could go to school and do music on the side and be successful, but the more I began to understand the industry, the more I fell in love with it. “Cookie Addiction” is me thinking about having sex with ‘Her’.
