After sitting in the weight of reflection, contemplation, and healing, Reason ended 2024 getting back to doing what he does best–being a creative. One of the industry’s most compelling young voices, renowned for his gift for narrative and storytelling prowess, closed out the year releasing a handful of singles and two-packs. Those singles set the stage for what will be a very active 2025 for the former TDE signee, culminating with the announcement of a new project and the release of a new single.
Today, Reason announced his new project, I Love You Again, which will be released on February 28, 2025. Along with it, he also released the project’s first single, “Not What You Think,” featuring Dreamville’s own Bas.
“Not What You Think” was a cadence and bounce I came up with right after splitting with TDE. I had no words. I just knew I wanted the bounce to be in a certain pocket and I wanted to speak on situations of artists/entertainers not always being everything the public thinks it is” Reason offers. “Me & Bas had a convo along time ago at the ROTD3 sessions on a similar topic. So, after writing the verse and hook, it only felt right to hit my dawg up and he killed it as usual. Extremely proud of how everything came together so shout out to everyone involved.”
With I Love You Again, Reason makes his highly anticipated return, embarks on creating his own path, and proves that his star is as bright as ever.
