RECAP: Watts Homie Quan Exotic Pop Drink Release

Comedian/Actor Watts Homie Quan is always hustling, creating video content and opportunities for himself. His most recent opportunity to promote his web series Growin Up In LA (YouTube) comes by way of a special collaboration pop-up event and drink release sponsored by ProClub.

Quan teamed up with Exotic Pop x Puffers boutique/mini-mart for the pop-up to distribute his very own flavor of Cool Cup Juice – kiwi watermelon lemonade. And of course, Home Grown Radio pulled up to support the homie & grab some juice. 

Watts Homie Quan had the corner of Melrose & Curson Av booming. From 1 PM – 5 PM, people poured in to shop, socialize & congratulate the Watts native on his new endeavor. Outside the boutique, DJ Kylon curated the vibes. Alongside him was BoomSquad’s very own Boomer holding down artwork on T-shirts.

 With the purchase of Quan’s Cool Cup Juice, customers received a free ProClub creatively airbrushed with the web series title. Every ProClub had its own unique touch thanks to Boomer who did shirts back to back the entire event. 

The amount of support for Quan’s release was mad real and dope to watch unfold. But the most memorable moment of the event was when Mama Quan stepped into the fold. Quan wasted no time taking his mother around the event, showing her the setup. It was beautiful to watch Quan share one of his accomplishments with his mother. Because that’s who he does it for. His family, God & his community.

This level-up is a dream come true for Watts Homie Quan and he doesn’t take it for granted. He’s tangible proof in the city that if you bet on yourself, pray and work hard anything in life is obtainable. This move is the first of many more to come. Rather than waiting for a path to clear, he’s making his own. That’s the epitome of being Home Grown. You’re your best opportunity.
