This is not an April fools joke– Snoop Dogg announced Thursday that he will be joining the cast of NBC’s The Voice as a season 20 “mega mentor”. Snoop will join Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas starting April 19th.
The Voice shares their excitement to have Snoop Dogg as their newest addition in a statement:
“Drawing from his unique experience in navigating the music and entertainment industry as a renowned rapper, producer, and performer, Snoop Dogg will impart a new and fresh perspective to help the artists craft their performances. Coaches alone choose the winner to advance from their team. Each coach has one steal in the Knockouts.”
It doesn’t stop there for the west coast legend! Snoop has unveiled a new music video for “Roaches In My Ashtray”, warming fans up for his upcoming album From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.
Snoop has made it clear that 2021 is going to be his year in music, as fans look forward to music from his newest rap group Mt. Westmore, with E-40, Too $hort and Ice Cube.
