03 Greedo is back like he never left!

The Watt native has made his long-awaited return to Los Angeles after being released from a Texas county jail in January. Since regaining his freedom, the rapper has made a powerful impact with his ambitious 33-track album “Halfway There”, showcasing his distinct musical approach characterized by his harmonious style.

Following his release, the Watts native, 03 Greedo has turnt up two sold-out stages, captivating audiences at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, and delivering an unforgettable performance at the renowned Novo venue here in Los Angeles.

According to Rolling Stone, “While in prison, Greedo, born Jason Jamal Jackson, remembers looking in the mirror each night, visualizing fans reciting his lyrics during a show like that one. He stayed current and tried his best to listen to what music was out in the wild while he was locked up. “From rap, R&B, and pop, I listened to it inside,” he says. “So when I was performing, I was locked in.”

03 Greedo’s music career took off in 2016 after he released his self-produced mixtape “Purple Summer” and his hit song “Run for Yo Life” with over 30-million streams on Spotify took over the streets of LA.

Regrettably, 03 Greedo’s flourishing journey took an unexpected turn in 2018 when he encountered legal troubles, leading to a temporary pause in his musical pursuits as he embarked on a 20-year sentence.

Fans welcomed him home after only doing about 5-years of the 20.

Rolling Stone reports that throughout Greedo’s incarceration he maintained a firm dedication to his business pursuits. Now, as he returns to the music scene his focus is set on taking a hands-on approach to his work and laying down foundations for his future empire. In his interview he admired the managerial styles of artists like Yo Gotti, Jay-Z, and Puffy, studying their independent moves and security practices, all in pursuit of becoming a mogul just like them.

Greedo has an eagerly anticipated album in the works, collaborating with a renowned producer whose identity remains a well-kept secret. Fans will have to wait patiently for this highly anticipated project.
