This weekend, Rolling Loud celebrated its 10 years of existence with four days of music celebration! The festival kicked-off with a single-performance from Ye & Ty Dolla $ign’s ¥$, and closed with Future & Metro Boomin performing new music from their upcoming album We Don’t Trust You.

The Home Grown Radio team was in attendance to see performances and connect with a few artists throughout the festival. We would love to share with you all our favorite 10 moments in the festival!

YG Celebrates 10 Years Of My Krazy Life

This week marks 10 years since the release of YG’s highly acclaimed My Krazy Life. In YG’s recent podcast episode, Sickamore states the album was originally called “I’m from Bompton” and was conceptualized as the inverse of Kendrick’s good kid, m.A..A.d city.

What better way to celebrate its anniversary than a set at Rolling Loud? YG had the crowd yelling six seconds in “Momma Speech Intro” and the crowd reciting every lyric in “My Hitta” and “Who Do You Love?” As the night progressed, Tyga and YG exchanged hits as they gave the festival a West Coast welcome.

Wallie the Sensei Had the Crowd Singing

On Saturday, Wallie the Sensei had the crowd singing to him! Wallie gave a rare performance where everyone in the crowd knew “03 Flow” by heart as he put his microphone past the barricades. Wallie came with a poncho on and left without one, one of the better performances at Rolling Loud CA 2024!

310Babii Performs “Soak City”

At any stage at any time of the day, “Soak City” was played to bring the crowd energy to a top notch. On Friday, YG and Tyga bought out 310babii for “Soak City” Remix to a larger crowd. But the most impactful performance was 310’s set on Sunday when the whole crowd went from left to right with support from Storm DeBarge! The hometown hero had special guests during his set including Duke Deuce, D Savage, and Joe Moses.

All of L.A. Was There to See 03 Greedo

This time last year, Greedo was just about to be back in Los Angeles with his song “Bacc Like I Never Left”. What better way to encapsulate that song than a crowd stretching from the GoPuff Stage to the ferris wheel! Greedo reminded everyone why he is a living legend.

OhGeesy Saves the Day

After the last minute cancellation from Fuerza Regida, OhGeesy filled the Saturday slot at the Ethika stage! It was great to see a Los Angeles artist fill the spotlight. The L.A. Mexican artist played Shoreline Mafia classics to his recent hit GEEKALEEK.

BbyAfricka Had the Sunday Stage Shaking

Hometown hero BbyAfricka gave the spotlight to her city! Africka’s hype woman behind the boards invited the crowd on stage by saying, “we need some baddies on stage”. In her last song, BbyAfricka had the stage shaking with friends, fans, and special guest Lil House Phone.

Saweetie performs “My Type” as YG’s guest

The “Queen of the West” is how YG introduced Saweetie this past weekend to perform her hit “My Type”! The Bay and L.A. artists joined forces to bring the West Coast sound to the big stage! Over the weekend, the West Coast lovers went viral for professing their love for each other in front of thousands.

Zoe Osama Brings the Energy!

Before Zoe Osama took the stage we spoke with him about keeping the West Coast g-funk sound alive. From backstage to the Culture Kings stage Zoe brought high energy, gaining new fans through his crowd interaction and throwing merch in the crowd.

Mike Sherm Closes the Culture King’s Stage

On the day before Mike Sherm’s set, we saw a crowd of fans karoking to his music. One person had the mic, but everyone at the booth was filling in the lyrics for “Asshole”. On Sunday, Mike Sherm closed out the Culture King’s Stage with the same energy and song to fans on the grounds and those sitting at the top of a gate!

Mozzy Reminds us what Home Grown means

One of the difficulties at Rolling Loud is scheduling because there is so much to see in very little time. Just a few moments before he took the stage, we were happy we got to ask Mozzy what home grown means. Sacramento’s lyricist reminded us to stay rooted, check out his response! Look out for a new Mozzy interview with DJ Hed on Home Grown soon!
