5 Things We Hope To See On Tinashe’s “JOYRIDE” Album

Aug 22, 2016

At just 23-years-old, Tinashe has already released several projects of dreamy R&B, some of which has been self-produced and nearly all of it recorded in her own bedroom.

In her most recent video trailer for her sophomore album, Joyride, which is set to drop in October, we get a collection of powerful and diverse sounds that showcase a newfound confidence from the rising star.

With that being said, there’s no doubting that Tinashe has been keeping fans at the edge of their seats anxiously waiting for her project, so we came up with five things we hope to see on Tinashe’s Joyride this Fall.

Check them out!

Creative Side
Throughout her music journey, Tinashe has gained much creativity and in a recent interview with Rap-Up she mentioned how she’s always giving her best.

It’s really important to be hands on in the creative process for everything, from the visuals to the music,” she explained. “I think visuals are a great part, as an artist, to be able to showcase, especially my dance ability because I’ve been dancing my whole life. I’m excited to have that be a part of the video.”

Solid Collaborations
The sensational singer has not only toured with some of the biggest names in music, but has also collaborated with Chris Brown, ScHoolbpy Q, Future, and Snakehips. So imagine if she could link up with a few major artists. Rumor has it that she might have Young Thug featured on the album. How dope would that be?

90’s R&B Vibes
Tinashe’s newest single “Superlove” is not only rising to the top of the charts already, but she gives us those 90s, pop-R&B vibes, and I personally love it! Check it out below.

A More Personal and In-depth Tinashe
It’s always nice when artists open up in their projects, and give us a much more in-depth side of them. While Tinashe’s 2014 album, Aquarius was an intro to who she was, I feel like Joyride can give us a different side of the 20-something-year-old.

Her Biggest Hit-Single Thus Far
In just a short amount of time Tinashe staked her claim as an artist to look out for in the world of R&B. Heck, she was even being called “this generation’s Aaliyah”… that’s major!

However, I feel that her singles like “2 On,” “All Hands On Deck, “Player,” and “Party Favors” haven’t really been the ones to get her where she needs to be. So hopefully, Joyride gives us that ONE hit single for Tinashe to surprise everyone.
