“I chose ‘Far Away’ because I love the drum patterns and the juxtaposition of it with the content. The song is about the feelings I’ve dealt with in the past when I noticed rifts in my old relationships. When you’re fighting to make it work because you love them, but also realize your happiness is being compromised and that’s not something you’re willing to let go of to be with them. That’s always a difficult position to be in, where no one really wants to step up and initiate that it’s not working or come to that conclusion because they fear being without the other. The song goes through the motions of it…with an ill bounce so you’re not wallowing.”
