4 artists. 4 cities. 4 dates. The 4 tour commenced last year as Orange County collective, Locally Grown, paved the way for an undeniably dope month full of good music and good vibes.
This year, LGCLTV brought along fellow OC comrades Sage One, Critical, and two of their own, EndzGotOddRoots and Dave Allen, to rock out with the fans. After road trips to Vegas, Utah, and San Diego, the team closed out the tour with a homecoming show in Juice County, Santa Ana. Hosted at Table 87, the night commenced with sounds provided by DJ/producers Chente Chi and 4th Beats.
The stage was taken over by local artist Hotboi as he moved the crowd with his conscious flow. Ears were intrigued with his self-reflective lines. The room began to fill, Hotboi transitioned his way to the crowd and let Critical conquer the floor alongside his wavy lyrical delivery. The confidence in Critical’s set exuded, the crowd clapped in an appreciative demeanor. With 4s in the air, in honor of the tour, LGCLTVâs Dave Allen blessed the stage among a soulful set, with help from rising emcee Reverie. The room was quickly packed with hands in the air, bouncing, and people singing along. While smiles and hugs were exchanged, everyone became comfortable and picked up their own groove.
The love for underground hip hop in OC is unexplainable. The aura was definitely felt. To continue the night, Endz shook the crowd when he began his set with âTrust Issuesâ from his 2012 Half N Half project. As the Orange native moved along to his set, heads were nodding left and right to the boom bap sounds, courtesy of 4th beats productions. To conclude the show, Sage won the fans over with some acapella spoken word and poetry-influenced tracks. Peep some pictures below; until next year 4 Tour!
