D Smoke takes fans back to Summer 2018 with a story to tell in the new video for “Crossover” featuring WESTSIDE BOOGIE.
The visual for “Crossover” begins with the rapper in his neighborhood making his way to the court to play basketball. There, he finds himself getting into fights over b-ball while referencing basketball players and people acting hard.
“You n****s frontin’ just to ball, Kyrie Irving have you swervin’,” he raps. “Change direction, Smith & Wesson’ll have you countin’ your blessings/Like oh-no, Mr. Harden hit ’em harder/Now they prey, they dear departed.”
The Inglewood native continues his Summer journey by heading to a party, where he meets up with WESTSIDE BOOGIE, who then takes over and raps his verse.
“Crossover” is a call out to those who act tough in front of everyone but are actually the opposite when it comes down to it. The track is featured on D Smoke’s 2021 album, War & Wonders.
