Less than a month ago, Hip-Hop/Rap icon Snoop Dogg assured us that he would bring back the Death Row Records catalog to streaming services, and he definitely delivered.

The catalog was first reissued exclusively on TikTok through their distribution and marketing service SoundOn so that fans could create dope content using clips from classic albums like The Chronic and Doggystyle. Snoop told Billboard upon last month’s TikTok announcement, “Since I took Death Row off streaming almost a year ago, not a day goes by without people asking me to put it back up.”

The multi-platinum record-selling label, founded in 1991 by Dr. Dre, The D.O.C., Suge Knight, and Dick Griffey, is credited with popularizing rap for a wider hip-hop audience and being instrumental in reshaping American youth culture by bringing gangsta rap to the forefront of commercial success.

With 11 platinum albums released and nearly 150 million albums sold worldwide, Death Row continues to be recognized as one of the most influential record labels in history. Now, under Snoop’s new ownership, we can all get a taste of the 90s nostalgia for the first time or all over again.
