Azjah showcases her growth as an artist and separates the real from the fake in her new single âDrowning.â
The Compton artist dropped her first single of the year titled âDrowning.” And although the mellow, chill vibes are still present, the pen has sharpened.
In the track, Azjah is calling out those who didnât believe in her and reflects on why she focuses on music. She raps about being able to provide for her mom and loved ones and making sure she didn’t “fumble.” She also takes a step back on how others viewed her and wanted to let her âdrown.”
âRemember how they didnât wanna believe til they seen the kid on the TV,â she raps. âIt was perfect timing/ Remember I was out there drowning/ Love had me blinded now they trying to see if I got it.â
