Finally the friends we deserved.
Jay-Z’s videos and footnotes that have come along side his latest studio album 4:44 have been extraordinary. They aren’t typical, but every Friday he has released a beautiful compliment to an already historic project. The latest of Mr. Carter’s is the behind the scenes footage of “Moonlight” which features a host of actors and actresses from the freshman class of black excellence.

The video is streaming exclusively to TIDAL subscribers and follows up the release of the actual “Moonlight” video from last Friday. The concept of the video is pretty simple, just imagine the hit sitcom Friends dawning an all black cast.
The video stars Issa Rae, LaKeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Tiffany Haddish, Lil Rel Howery, and Jerrod Carmichael.
The BTS footage has Haddish proclaiming that if there is anything she can be a white woman in that she’s gonna do it. Just another comical line to add to her continued success following the film Girls Trip.

This remake was necessary, it’s about diversity and inclusion, and it is also pretty fun to watch.
TIDAL subscribers can check out both the video for “Moonlight” as well as the BTS footage on the TIDAL app. Non-subscribers can check out previews above.
