Daz Dillinger has never been one to hold his tongue. And in his new track / video “True To The Game,” he continues to hold nothing back. The track comes as a thought out response to Kanye West’s rants in April and comment that slavery was a choice for African Americans.
Following Kanye’s outrageous spazz Daz took to social media to voice his reaction. He posted a clip announcing the green light for Crips to rough Kanye up for his reckless mouth. Since then no harm has come to the Graduation rapper, but Daz hasn’t forgotten his remarks.
“True To The Game” calls out Kanye for his antics over the years since the passing of his mother Donda West, naming him an Uncle Tom and portraying him as one too. It also expresses shared feelings of betrayal and shame some African Americans feel from his carelessness.
The track is covered over a modified version of Ice Cube’s “True To The Game” and features a sample of The Gap Band’s “Outstanding.” It will live on Daz’s forthcoming EP (7 tracks) also titled True To The Game. Check out the video below and peep the clip of Daz originally pulling Kanye’s card for more context.
