Rising Los Angeles Hip-Hop artist Dazy Lyn (The LA Baby) has released an iconic new single paying tribute to the late Kobe Bryant and celebrating the momentous world of basketball. Backed by the production of Cypress Moreno, “ICONICO” is a powerful and flashy bi-lingual anthem about status and legacy.
The track also references the paralleling careers of basketball heavyweights Lebron James and Dennis Rodman. Iconico is a fitting tribute to some of the most iconic figures in sports history.
Growing up in Los Angeles as a die-hard Lakers fan, Dazy like many Angelinos,was affected by Kobe’s tragic passing in 2020. In the past, the artist worked at the legendary Staples Center as security on the Clippers and Lakers court.
The cover art resembles the popular 2019-2020 NBA Hoops Kobe Bryant Tribute (#282) collectible card. Though the font and titles have been tweaked there is one detail that is seemingly iconic about the use of the card. “I used an actual Kobe collectible card that I’m on as the cover art photo as a way of honoring my past and sharing an iconic moment in my life.”
