DIXSON drops the official third video and title track for âDARLINGâ off of his latest EP.Â
âWe shot this video in honor of our Black Music heroes. Without the contributions of Jackie Wilson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Ike and Tina Review, and Little Richard, recorded music would have a major void. Their art influences EVERY genre heard today. Neki Bosh led the creative direction for this video. Our director Michelle Parker took it a step further with the shooting style of the video. I was honored to work with the amazing choreographer Imani K Williams. This video means so much to me because I was able to do it with people I cherish. I love that the video feels like weâre watching a vintage performance on television while also having the feeling of being in the room. What a way to celebrate Black Music month.â DIXSON said about the music video.
Reminiscent of an American Bandstand television set up, âDARLINGâ visuals highlight DIXSONâs unique presence and vocal range. The Atlanta native is proficient in eleven instruments and showcases his piano skills alongside a platform of background dancers and singers.Â
