Dr. Dre and Angie Martinez are going to be added to the constellation of stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Monday, the Walk of Fame committee announced the new honorees of which they selected 31 entertainers from a list of hundreds.
Dr. Dre and “The Voice of New York” Angie Martinez, have enjoyed extensive careers in the music industry. The former is renowned as a music-maker and the latter as a radio personality. Both have expanded their ventures beyond the music world. Martinez, who is also an artist, actor, author, and a philanthropist, is most known for her show, The Angie Martinez Show.
Although Dr. Dre hasn’t appeared on her show yet, he has been a topic of discussion in interviews with 2 Chainz and Anderson .Paak. If he ever appears on the show, Martinez will have a lot to talk about with the former N.W.A group member, including his successful product line Beats by Dr. Dre, the Iovine and Young Academy at USC, and his prolific career as an artist and producer.
Dr. Dre’s and Martinez’s stars will be joining the stars of over 2,700 honorees on the famous Hollywood sidewalk. Other standout honorees that the committee selected include Abbot Elementary’s Sheryl Lee Ralph, Toni Braxton, and the late Chadwick Boseman.
No official date has been set for the opening ceremony honoring Dr. Dre’s and Angie Martinez.
