Drake is gearing up for the release of his anticipated album, “For All the Dogs,” set to launch later this month. As part of the album’s rollout, he’s unveiled a new single titled “Slime You Out,” featuring T.D.E.’s SZA.
Released on Friday morning, the new single, co-produced by Drake and OVO’s Noel Cadastre, boasts lyrics such as “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.” This gives context to the album artwork both artists teased on Instagram recently.
The collaboration between Drake and SZA has been long awaited by listeners as the pair allegedly used to date.
Both artists appear to have moved past previous differences, collaborating on a soulful R&B track in a back-and-forth track discussing the aftermath of tumultuous relationships. The song touches on the theme of using someone purely for physical intimacy.
The single’s artwork features Halle Berry from the 2012 Kids Choice Awards, a nod Drake integrates into his lyrics: “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.”
