Drake has broken yet another record.
According to Touring Data, Drake’s July 28 and 29 concerts at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. as part of his Its All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, netted the rapper $5 million dollars each for a total of $10 million.
The record was previously held by BTS rapper Suga, who earned $3 million dollars each night from a two day stint at the Kia Inglewood Forum in May of this year. With more than 30 shows still scheduled for Drake’s tour, it wouldn’t be surprising if he eventually breaks his own record. If his concerts continue raking in the same or greater amounts of revenue, he might even reclaim a record that Kendrick Lamar took from him this year.
In April of this year, Touring Data announced that the Compton rapper’s The Big Stepper’s tour earned him $110.9 million dollars from 73 shows with a total of 929,000 tickets sold worldwide. Drake’s tour, though, is only 55 shows and is limited to the U.S., unlike Kendrick who toured Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
