The long-awaited project between Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist is near! On Wednesday evening, their track “Sentry” featuring MIKE surfaced on Twitter. MIKE is the mystery guest blurred out on The Alchemist’s Tuesday Instagram post. The Los Angeles producer posted an 11-song tracklist titled VOIR DIRE. Voire Dire is French and literally translates to “see say”, and may also refer to the legal term for the preliminary procedure in selecting jurors.
Before “Sentry”, the revered producer previewed on Instagram 40 seconds of the collaboration. Most recently, Earl Sweatshirt and billy woods opened ALC’s Flying High with “RIP Tracy”.
Early Wednesday, the Alchemist shared the show poster presenting their project on August 25th at the Jazz Cafe in London. The collaborative show will follow after the Doris 10-Year celebration at the KOKO venue.
The 29-year old rapper has been celebrating 10 years since the release of his debut album. The celebration began at the sold-out Novo on August 19th, where Odd Future made a special photo reunion.
In January 2022, the Producer of the Year told Complex, “Earl’s special. Anyone who knows him knows he’s a very important person in this whole system of rap music, and Los Angeles hip-hop culture in general.”
Fans are showing their excitement on social media already calling the project “album of the year” and “now that’s what I call music”.
