Fun Facts You May Not Know About Sueños Music Festival Artists

Sueños Music Festival unites the city of Chicago under the banner of incredible Reggaeton and Latin Music. Today, El Festival Latino announces the lineup for its third annual fest, bringing unprecedented star power to the banks of Lake Michigan in May 25 and 26 2024. 

Peso Pluma, Rauw Alejandro, and Maluma are set to headline with a special performance from Ivan Cornejo, topping a bill filled with some of the most exciting names in Latin Music like Mora, Young Miko, Manuel Turizo, Jowell Y Randy, and more.

Beyond the headliners, Sueños brings a diverse array of Latin artists to keep the party going throughout the day. The lineup includes some of the most exciting ascending superstars, including Colombian pop singer Manuel Turizio, Argentinian producer and tastemaker Bizarrap, red hot rapper Young Miko, and Mexican urbano group Latin Mafia. This year also brings regional Mexican artists like teenage heartthrob Ivan Cornejo, smooth-voiced singer of corridos Gabito Ballesteros, and buzzing newcomer XAVI, and up-and-coming singer songwriter Elena Rose. Plus some of the hottest acts in reggaeton, including hitmakers like Bad Gyal and Mora, veterans like Jowell Y Randy and Alexis Y Fido.

To celebrates this year’s Sueños Music Festival, here are some fun facts about the artists performing at Sueños. Enjoy!

Part 1: Saturday, May 25

Rauw Alejandro: As a child, Alejandro competed in school talent shows because he has a passion for dancing. After graduating high school, he enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. From the age of six, until he was twenty, he played soccer, but later quit because he “could not perform as he expected to” after suffering an injury. He then later got into music and the rest is history.

Young Miko: In 2022, Young Miko uploaded her first song was “Quiero” on Soundcloud. Meanwhile, she worked as a tattoo artist to pay bills and music studio costs. Later that year, she released debut EP, Trap Kitty and her career took off.

Bizarrap: Born Gonzalo Julian Conde in Ramos Mejia, Argentina, the 25-year-old visionary was into EDM, looking up to powerhouses like Martin Garrix and Skrillex. Growing up, he had some minor classical training with piano lessons and music theory, but the start of his music journey was anything but classical.

Ivan Cornejo: From San Bernardino, CA, at just 19 years old, Ivan Cornejo made history earlier this year by selling over 72,000 tickets for his Houston stadium show. He also is a huge fan of hip-hop.

Xavi: Raised in Phoenix and Sonora, Mexico, Xavi’s bicultural upbringing deeply influenced his own music, which blends Mexican corridos traditions with modern rhythms. 

Maluma: Did you know Maluma once sold sandwiches and lollipops to help his mom make ends meet. He also wrote his first song at 15 years old and got his big break in 2015. Now he’s known as Papi Juancho and Maluma baby.

Gabito Ballesteros: He started playing the guitar at the age of 10 and he began writing songs at 12. He went to school for engineering but instead pursued music. He also doesn’t drink alcohol.

Delilah: Made history by becoming the first female singer to be sign to Nathanael Cano’s record label, Los CT. She currently has three songs out and it set to take over the Latin music world.
