This upcoming Labor Day (September 4th), Downtown Oakland will host the sixth annual Hiero Day.
The festival originally started as a nod from fans who recognized September 3rd (9/3) as a celebration and a way to appreciate Hieroglyphics music. most notably 93 Til Infinity by their subgroup The Souls of Mischief.
2012 marked the first year the independent collective started the event as a way to recognize the Bay Area’s culture, food, arts, and most importantly the immense talent the city has to offer.
This year there are over 50 musical acts and DJ’s confirmed on the lineup including Oakland legend LIL B THE BASEDGOD, a set from Toro y Moi as well as DJ Quik, the Texas trill OG Bun B, South Central’s very own G Perico, and of course the main headliners the Hieroglyphics.
