Ice Spice went full throttle for the debut of Alexander Wang’s 2024 spring campaign, Nocturna, this Thursday.
The Bronx rapper featured in a series of photos modeling Wang’s collection of leather, mesh dresses, and knee high boots, in the brand’s characteristic black color scheme. Wang told Vogue that this collection is inspired by the “idea of the concrete jungle,” an element of the campaign which is elevated by its incorporation of vehicles like the motorcycle in Ice Spice’s photos, and the vehicle parts like windshields and tires, which were incorporated in other campaign promotional photos.
Alexander Wang tapped Ice Spice to accentuate this collection’s blend of music and fashion.
“Ice Spice is such a powerhouse, a cultural touchstone, and a breath of fresh air,” Wang shared. “Her unapologetic energy magnifies the sharp and austere sensuality of Spring 2024 and leans into our brand codes on a deeper level.”
For Ice Spice, this was an opportunity to further step into the high fashion world after an appearance at last year’s Met Gala.
“As an artist, I’m always challenging myself on how I can contribute to culture in a way that drives things forward, and Alexander Wang is a great vehicle for that with this incredibly bold and global campaign,” Ice Spice explained in a statement.
