In Honor Of YG’s Birthday, Here Are 5 Of My Favorite YG Collaborations

Mar 9, 2021 , ,

Today, March 9, marks YG‘s 31st birthday.

The Compton rapper dropped first mixtape, 4Fingaz in 2008. However, his first step into mainstream was his 2009 single “Toot It and Boot It.” The track rose to fame, which lead to a deal with Def Jam Records.

After releasing several mixtapes, the West Coast native dropped his label debut album, My Krazy Life. Highlighted by “Who Do You Love” with Drake and the Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan-assisted “My N***a.” My Krazy Life set YG up for success, which later followed with Blame It On The Streets.

Soon after, YG introduced the world his own record label, 4Hunnid. In 2016, he dropped his second album, Still Brazywhich featured the single “FDT” featuring Nipsey Hussle. Then in 2018, he dropped his Stay Dangerous album, 4Real 4 Real in 2019, and his most recent one, My Life 4 Hunnid in 2020.

To celebrate YG’s birthday today, I’d like to share 5 of my favorite YG collaborations and of course, I’d like to know yours too.
