On Fire.
Ever since JAG rebranded and released his debut album Dalton Ave, he’s been mustering up rhymes and shows no signs of letting up.
He shook us with “Kapernick Effect” — a powerful single lined to keep the torch for justice burning in a world where police brutality is a daily occurrence. And then he smoothened the mood with “The Relay,” a classic inspirational track featuring comrade Nick Grant. He also gifted us with “Rasta Ting” — the second visual from his debut project featuring DB Bantino with production from Bizness Boi.
One thing fans admire about JAG is that he always keeps them full. While we patiently wait for new drops, the South Central emcee keeps us well fed with freestyles. Just yesterday he swung by Real 92.3 with DJ HED and Bootleg Kev to drop some bars over Anderson .Paak’s “Come Down.” And of course, he spit that gas! It’s verses like these that make you appreciate JAG’s lyricism, which is an element too often over looked. I mean, dude got his start ripping rapper’s heads off in battle rap competitions!
Check out his freestyle on Real 92.3 and other clips below PLUSSS make sure to cop your tickets to see JAG headline his first show at the Roxy Theater June 29! He’ll also join Cozz on the Effected Tour for six West Coast dates starting June 1.
