Jhené Aiko has been teasing new music all summer long, releasing singles “Hello Ego” featuring Chris Brown, and “While We’re Young.”
The R&B/Soul singer and lyricist unleashed a surprise project which marks her second studio recorded album!
The 22-track LP features the likes of boyfriend Big Sean, Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, West Coast OG Kurupt, John Mayer, Brandy, Mali Music, and her daughter and dad. The project revolves around the death of her brother who passed away unexpectedly from cancer in 2012, and her experimentation with drugs.
In promotion for the project, she dropped a recorded mission statement and short film…
Last Friday, her family, friends, fans, and crew joined her in celebration of Trip‘s release at the Eric Buterbaugh’s Florals Perfumery & Gallery in her hometown of Los Angeles.
