Jim Jones & Yungeen Ace Legal Edition

Jun 26, 2018 ,

I don’t think “We Fly High” is going to be Jim Jones’ anthem anytime soon, as he should’ve been keeping a “low” profile instead to avoid getting arrested. But on June 20 he got pulled over because he was passenger in a Benz that kept swerving, resulting in charges that include drugs and receiving stolen property. (If you click here, you’ll get a breakdown of the break down of Jim Jones and whomever else was involved.)

The involved individuals were booked in jail the next day, which makes it the 21st of June. Now, I don’t know what happened exactly, but social media doesn’t lie. I don’t know if it was Slick Jim himself or someone handling things for him, but at 11:56am a tweet went out from his account about the premiere of the visual for one of his tracks called “Epitome.”

But let’s always aim to keep Hip Hop as positive as possible. Jim Jones’ new album Wasted Talent dropped in April and he’s not wasting any time promoting it.

Cue DJ Khaled, because positivity is KEY. On that note, Yungeen Ace was released from jail after a probation violation that was cited after picking up a gun in a gun store. But, the reality of the situation is that he was taken into custody just days after he was involved in a shooting in Florida, resulting in three dead and Yungeen Ace as the only survivor of the incident.

So, it was tragic to report from Florida that just weeks later, XXXtentacion was shot and killed.

The month of June hasn’t been friendly to these artists on the legal end of the spectrum, but I’m hoping through the power of music and awareness, it’ll spark up much needed change.
