Inglewood native Kavin Donnell is talking about not being “Weird” when it comes to ending things with a current situationship in his latest single.
The melodic track focuses on the R&B artist confidently going for a girl he’s interested in. Although the situation isn’t the best, as the woman he has his eye on has a man already, Kavin is determined to come in first place. He even goes into detail about telling the other guy not to be “Weird” about it because she’s better off with Donnell.
“Ain’t no point in you being a hater,” he sings in a verse. “I advise you to charge this to the game/Neighbors know my first, last, and middle name/ Ever since she met me ya’ll ain’t been the same.”
“Weird” also features a touch of Spanish words, in the beginning, describing her as a “Bonita” and calling her “Mamacita.” The smooth song gives off a tuneful beat that will have you nodding your head and telling people to “please don’t be weird.”
