Safe to say the Verzuz Battles have been a highlight for us throughout this pandemic and one of the most highly anticipated ones was Ashanti and Keyshia Cole‘s.
And after multiple setbacks, their Verzuz went down this past Thursday, January 21 but not with a few minor things. The main one, Keyshia Cole being an hour late to her set. So the “I Should Have Cheated” singer recently took to Instagram Live to apologize for it.
“I want to apologize for not sitting my ass in that seat, because I was there and I should’ve sat down,” she said during the Instagram Live session. “I should’ve just sat in the seat, no matter if I felt like the visual wasn’t clear or they said my music wasn’t gonna be right or whatever it was.”
Keyshia mentioned that she didn’t want to take her seat because O.T. Genasis told her that the picture wasn’t clear on her end of the stream. She wanted things to be perfect for the battle without any technical issues.
“I was really skeptical about that,” Cole adds. “I don’t want to go on and they not see me and I’m looking blurry, the connection is not right and everything like that.”
