J. Cole has always been one to help put on rising artists, and that’s no different for this feature by Lil TJay in the single “The Jackie.”
“The Jackie,” was released on July 9 and showcases Dreamville’s Bas, J. Cole and the young Bronx Lil TJay exchanging bars about summertime with a drop-top, women, and living life.
Lil TJay’s verse recognizes how young he is as a rapper but makes it known that he’s not here to play any games. He expresses his luxury life of fancy cars, yet he knows he’s far from clout.
“I’m a rich n***a, no, I ain’t clouted/Lovable, I’m a youngin’, I’m bossed up/That’s the difference, don’t let it get crossed up/I was seventeen comin’ through Porsche’d up/Now it’s Bentley truck, AMG, more stuff.”
The Destined To Win artist recently announced his tour for his latest album, which sold out several venues and had to add new dates to it.
