In the ever-evolving landscape of the Hip-Hop/Rap genre, Mani Coolin and Walt Mansa emerge as dynamic forces with the release of their latest collaborative project, ‘Now Is Not Forever’.
Earlier this week, the duo took to each of their personal Instagram accounts to let their fans in on the excitement!
This ROLL WITH THE WINNERS production was masterly mixed and produced by Walt Mansa and Christopher âCAâ Anthems, with additional production by 8thdimenions, Chris Beach, and JaroszMadeThis.
âNow Is Not Foreverâ holds 10 tracks, with features from RWTWSâs own Niko G4, Chap D, and OddFuture icon, Domo Genesis. The album also features singles âFive Percentâ and âLove & Hateâ, which dropped at the top of March.
With an eclectic blend of styles and a keen ear for innovation, this duo transcends conventional boundaries, inviting listeners into a sonic journey that defies temporal constraints. I had the privilege of previewing a few tracks from Walt himself, and I must say that you all are truly in for a treat!
I also reached out to Mani Coolin on Instagram to ask him a few questions about âNow Is Not Foreverâ surrounding its announcement and release, and he had this to say:
âWhen did your relationship with Walt begin, and how has it influenced/impacted the creation of âNow Is Not Foreverâ?
âI met Walt personally last year. I was seeing some of his work with other artists online, I thought his production was dope. I reached out to him on Instagram and invited him to a session I was having. He pulled up and we made a song. End up running into him again and he invited me to his studio. After that, we started linking every week and cooking up. He told me he grew up listening to my early stuff. I wouldnât even have known. Once we started working on a few tracks it went from us working on an EP to a full album.â
What does âNow Is Not Foreverâ mean to you and what do you want it to mean to your followers?
âNow Is Not Forever means a couple of thingsâŠreally a motivational saying for me. Where Iâm at right now, won’t be where I am foreverâŠprogressionâŠnot staying stagnant. Nothing stays the same, especially if youâre working to be better. I want my followers to take it [Now Is Not Forever] the same way, and keep striving for more. Hard times are only temporary.â
Mani and Walt present a musical masterpiece that not only offers a timeless reflection on the fluidity of existence but also stands as a testament to the power of artistic collaboration and the boundless possibilities of creative expression in the modern era.
