Featuring eccentric elements like shifting color palettes and senior citizen skateboarders, Devin brings the ice cold climate of the Great White North to sunny Southern California in the music video.
“CANADIAN TUX” is a furious display of flexing from the young artist, as he tapdances atop speaker-rattling 808s and sinister synth waves. He cycles through women like the seasons, but he keeps his wardrobe consistent even as the weather changes: “I don’t even care ’bout the weather/Everyday I rock Bottega Venetta/Summertime, but I’m still rocking that sweater/Rockstar lifestyle, got that jacket with leather,” he spits.
After years of steady rise, and a recent co-sign from the one-and-only Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q has taken Devin Malik under his wing, nurturing him to become the next talent to emerge from the TDE orbit.
