Back in business after a hiatus, Shoreline Mafia has resumed their run as L.A.’s favorite rap group. On Thursday night, the duo of OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin performed their first hometown show since 2019, selling out the Kia Forum for a star-studded celebration of their music and cultural impact.

The L.A. concert was the final date on the fast-selling “Back In Bidness Tour,” Shoreline Mafia’s first shows since before the pandemic. The duo led the crowd through a litany of their local and national hits, including “Musty,” “Nun Major,” “Gangstas & Sippas,” “Trap House,” and “Bands.” The crowd reacted just as wildly to the group’s new hits, including urban radio smash “ROCKIN” and “HOLLYWOOD,” their trending collaboration with YG.

The Kia Forum crowd was diverse, with a hefty portion of the crowd of Latin, and especially Mexican heritage. In recent months, OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin have proudly represented for L.A.’s Mexican population, performing in front of the Mexican flag and showcasing hallmarks of L.A. Mexican culture in their video for “ROCKIN.”

Geesy and Fenix made the night extra special by inviting a contingent of their A-List friends and L.A. cohorts to join them onstage. YG hopped onstage to perform “HOLLYWOOD,” while L.A. A-Listers like Ty Dolla $ign drew excited reactions from the hometown crowd, but the biggest crowd pops were reserved for fellow West Coast duo BlueBucksClan.

As a testament to the group’s national reach, out-of-towners like Big Sean and Coi Leray joined the party, the latter performing her new Shoreline collaboration “Act Like You Know.” Frequent Shoreline collaborators Mike Sherm, and Shordie Shordie popped in to perform their local hits, as did fellow West Coast underground hero Kamaiyah and L.A. rap heavy-hitters 310babii and Peysoh.
