New Jersey native Sonyáe Elise channels her inner Black Panther in new video “Run Up” from her Apeshit project. In the video, the triple threat artist stages a rebellion of female panthers (Formation!) against lawmakers. “Run Up” was inspired by Tupac’s godmother Assata Shakur who was involved in a shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike & is the first woman to be listed on the FBI’s Most Wanted.
