“Inglewood’s favorite son,” THURZ, premiered the video for his Desginer EP melody, “Right Now.” The Aaron Harris-produced gem got visual treatment from director Pablo Balderas and has THURZ strolling through his hometown and reminiscent of his childhood. The emcee shared with LA Weekly:
I started ‘Right Now’ with the lyrics, ‘I wouldn’t rap if I knew who my father was/His substitute was a letter with no love.’ This served as a statement highlighting the influence that fathers have on their sons and questioned if my career path would have been the same if I knew my biological dad. It was a moment of reflection with telling you all the story of myself and how we get to the moment of ‘Right Now.’ The video portrays a version of my younger self and how my mother, music and the city of Inglewood raised me.”
