Today, we got time.
XXL Freshman Denzel Curry is riding the wave of his success. With his Imperial mixtape still fresh and circulating the streets, Curry decided to drop a new track “Today,” featuring Compton native Boogie and Canadian rapper/producer Allan Kingdom. (Talk about cross-country, Curry is from Florida). Curry’s new track follows the announcement of he and Boogie’s Black Metal Terrorist tour.
The trio make good chemistry on the track that reflects on dues paid to the game and celebrates a new lavish lifestyle, where one can literally toast to the good life everyday. Their flows and effortless delivery over the presumed Kingdom production remind us of early hip-hop in New York when emcees would rap over beats.
The take away in “Today” is to live happy doing what YOU want to do in life. Fuck rules. Because at the end of the day you’re living your live for yourself, right? Listen and then check out the dates to Curry and Boogie’s Black Metal Terrorist tour below.
