Now, there are a few days left of January to look forward to for new song releases, but I did want to look back and break down three Hip Hop tracks that I can’t seem to be able to skip.
First on the list would have to be “King’s Dead” by Jay Rock, featuring Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake. It’s off the Black Panther soundtrack, so you know I’m looking forward to the movie, coming to theaters February 16. In the meantime, lend an ear to experience the powerful beat, and the even more powerful rappers that each bring their own technique to this banger. Have a listen below!

Next, “God’s Plan” by Drake has everyone talking, especially since it broke the U.S. Spotify AND Apple Music records of single day streaming! And for good reason. The song has me especially excited for a future album because the Canadian rapper delivered, per usual. Check it out below.
Finally, with the drop of Migos’ project Culture II last week, “Supastars” is one that stood out from the crowd. With usual Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff fashion, the trio showed listeners why the album is heading towards debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200. Supastars for sure! Don’t miss out and have a listen.
