Vince Staples Announces ‘Romona Park Broke My Heart’ Release Date And Drops “Rose Street” Single

Mar 31, 2022

Long Beach’s own Vince Staples announced the release of his latest album, Romona Broke My Heart, released date and dropped a single and visual ahead of the release.

On March 27, Staples took to social media to share with fans the artwork and the meaning behind his upcoming album, which will drop on April 8. In the post, Vince reflects on where his music has always stemmed from and now realizes that it’s much greater than just home.

“I have been exploring the utility of home,” the post read. “Security. Comfort. Meaning. The answer. The Excuse. To outgrow is to love blindly no longer. Ramona Broke My Heart is the story of that growth.”

Recently, the LB rapper dropped his single from the album, “Rose Street,” along with the visual. The video begins with a blacked-out screen and a strong message of a man using his voice to teach others about the challenges that the Black community is up against at the start of age six. Then it transitions to Vince sitting on the rocks as Sunken City, where the track drops, and he delivers so smoothly with knowledge for a short yet sweet one minute.

“Rose Street” is currently out on all platforms. You can pre-save Romona Broke My Heart and wait for the drop on April 8.
