#WCW: 10 Videos That Rep LA

#WestCoast

1. Jhene Aiko absolutely repped the city with “Never Call Me” featuring Kurupt. If ANY of the places or people in this video are unrecognizable to you then you’re not really from LA bro.

2. Even the legend Tupac came West to settle down in sunny LA and he couldn’t help but to dedicate a song to our beloved city. “It’s the place to be”

3. Eric Bellinger & Dom Kennedy dropped the perfect jam and video for summers in LA, “Main Thang.” The two natives head to Venice Beach and the famous skating rink World On Wheels which is home to every natives childhood memories.

4. In case you didn’t know the G-Funk genre originated in LA in the early 90s. Since then it’s presence has been ever prevalent with the help of artists like Polyester The Saint — who’s heavily apart of LA’s lowrider scene, G. Perico, Bad Lucc & Cardo Got Wings. “Show em’ that it do what it do”

5. Recently dropped: Airplane James & Jay Worthy take “5FT” in their new video as they cruise through the city and put in that work.

6. Blackest of the Blakiest. Not only is Buddy’s “Black” about being a Black male in America, but specifically in the city of LA as he takes us to the barbershop, Slauson & Randy’s.

7. Don’t forget about The Game! Game had the city on fire with the release of The Documentary — a diary to his life in the streets of LA. The project’s standout track “Put You On The Game” was an introductory of the city to tourists.

8. Cozz is the only West Coast rapper on Dreamville’s roster and he holds it down well.

9. Remember when the whole damn city came out for AD & YG’s “Thug” video!? Classic LA shit.

10. And last but not least. It really doesn’t get more LA than Dom Kennedy. The Leimert Park king is forever repping the town! At this point he’s a walking billboard.

Bonus: Before reaching his Victory Lap, Nipsey Hussle was staying down to come up. Peep the first verse of this song and realize that this was in 2013. Keep grinding.
