Alabama native Yung Blue released his new single “Way More Close” featuring Grammy Nominated Big Sean on July 8.
The track expresses a heartache of a woman leaving the rapper when he feels like he’s stuck and can’t let go of what she’s showed him. He even raps that he doesn’t want to leave her alone and he’s not afraid to admit it.
“It’s like I’m stuck in a maze,” Yung Bleu sings in the chorus. “You get so stuck in your ways/ I heard you turnin’ your page/Movin’ to Miami, out in Dade/But don’t go cold on me.”
For Big Sean, the Detroit rapper flows about the importance of a woman feeding his soul to help him grow instead of focusing on lust and why that keeps him around. He also touches base on how important communication is in a relationship.
“Skipped the marriage but we still did all the honeymoon trips,” Big Sean raps. “And that’s when we tripped the most and, shit/We gon’ keep trippin’ if we never take the time out to unpack all of it, for real.”
“Way More Close” is expected to be featured on Yung Bleu’s new album Moon Boy, out July 23. Check out to audio below!
