5 Reasons You Should Attend “Once Upon a Time in the LBC”

If your plans this summer don’t include the attending Once Upon a Time in the LBC, you might want to rethink that.

Formerly known as “Summertime in the LBC,” the inaugural show will include about 30 acts and will be headlined by Long Beach native and hip-hop pioneer Snoop Dogg. Joining Snopp is YG and The Game, who will be performing his debut studio album, The Documentary. Others joining the Once Upon a Time in the LBC star-started line-up include DMX, Bone Thugs N-Harmony, Warren G, Keith Sweat, Too Short, Blueface, Ginuwine and more.

“It’s gonna be a great day in the LBC. There’s such a combination of different artists in that lineup, it’s a great epic lineup,” Los Angeles-based rapper and singer Baby Bash told Daily News. Baby Bash is also taking part in the festival at the Queen Mary on July 27th and 28th.

The Home Grown Radio team will be in attendance at this year’s Once Upon a Time in the LBC and we think you should too. To further show you, we’ve come up with 5 reasons why you don’t want to miss it.

Take a look at what we came up with and we’ll see you at Once Upon a Time in the LBC!

It’s A Two-Day Event, Which Means Double The Fun!

Once Upon a Time in the LBC’s goal with their massive event is to provide attendees with the best experience possible, and they feel that the two days will allow fans to feature a better range of artists, art, and tons of food. Festivals are great, so how can they get better? Double it up (Nipsey Hussle’s voice.) Thanks in advance, Once Upon a Time in the LBC!

The Nipsey Hussle Tribute

The West Coast rapper was slated to be one of the headliners at the festival but unfortunately, he was gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing Store in March. So far, Once Upon a Time in the LBC has named both of their musical stages after Nip, “The Hussle” and “The Marathon” stages. We shall wait to see what the musical tribute entitles.

Sounds Of Hip-Hop Culture

vThe two-day music festival will not only include West Coast veteran artists but a mixture of past and present hip-hop.

Being An Inaugural Show, Who Knows What Surprises To Expect?

With this being Once Upon a Time in the LBC, we expect them to not disappoint as they showcase the LBC in its prime and come through with a few surprises up their sleeves.

The Official End Of Festival Season

The 2019 festival season has been a great one and as far as I’m concerned, Once Upon a Time in the LBC is the official closing of the party months.
