Fashionistas, sneakerheads and music lovers gathered for the annual ComplexCon event on Nov. 6th and 7th at the Long Beach Convention Center. Everyone came together in one setting to bring their best collections for the culture.

The event is known best for hosting exclusive drops from some of your favorite brands and gives you a chance to get your hands on them before everyone else. Some of the brands included well-known and local Los Angeles brands, such as Adidas, Atmos, Paisa Boys, Wckdthghts Klux Busters, and many more!

Some of the exhibitions were also fans’ favorites to get a photo with, such as Squid Game, where the tall doll figure stood in the middle and two players were placed on each side. Another big hit was J. Balvin’s exhibition, which featured his collection and brought out a Colombian style of a flower shop and a hot dog stand that read, “Para Mi Gente.” The Colombian artist even helped host the event on Saturday.

To make ComplexCon even more unique, there was also a Hyland x Hello Kitty Carnival just outside the convention, where guests were able to play fun carnival games of ping-pong, cornhole, balloon blast and more. To the left of the carnival, there was a basketball court, where people gathered to shoot hoops for prizes.

And if you got hungry while copping the exclusive drops, ComplexCon featured a section called First We Feast Lagoon that included different food trucks such as Katsu Sando, Sweet Chick, Afters Ice Cream and more. But it wouldn’t be complete if ComplexCon didn’t bring out Hot Ones to the event, as they had a booth for everyone to try the Hot Ones Chicken Bites Challenge, which included three different spicy wings flavors.

Punk band Turnstile and rapper A$AP Rocky took to the arena to close out the weekend with a performance. A$AP Rocky performed his full mixtape Live.Love.A$AP for its 10th anniversary and threw in a surprise performance of “Praise The Lord (Da Shine).” The Harlem rapper also brought out the A$AP Mob, where he shared a special moment with A$AP Ferg that expressed their come-up together. He even confirmed that he’s been in the studio and is currently working on an album. And yes, Rihanna was also spotted in the crowd supporting her man.

ComplexCon 2021 was another eventful year and showcased the culture in the best ways possible through pop-ups, vendors, exhibitions, panels, performances and much more. This is an event you don’t want to miss out on next year!
