#MarchMadness – the true madness of March is the amount of hit tracks that dropped, and it had listeners in a frenzy keeping up with the chaos. But, thankfully I’m here to hopefully calm things down a bit, and narrow it down to the top three hits that stood out based on versatility.
First on the list is “Everyday” by Logic, produced by Marshmello, and off of his latest project called Bobby Tarantino II. It’s refreshing to witness Logic stay true to his formation, and with the addition of Marshmello in the mix, it doesn’t downplay his artistic practice, but rather makes it memorable. Listen to “Everyday” to experience Logic rapping at high-speed, vocalizing, and tapping into a more electronic vibe.
Lil Dicky has been known to think outside of the box, and he makes quite an entrance into the realm of Hip Hop with each decision. Featuring Chris Brown, he released a happy-go-lucky hit called “Freaky Friday,” and recent news announced the track debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100! The song as well as the music video present the idea of Lil Dicky and Chris Brown switching bodies and experiencing each other’s lives. Watch/listen to “Freaky Friday” below, featuring Lil Dicky’s hard-hitting yet lighthearted bars as well as Breezy’s flawless vocals and dance moves.
The month would be incomplete without a remix, and earning a slot in the top is Blac Youngsta’s “Booty” featuring Chris Brown, Jeezy, and Trey Songz! If you want to get hyped, turn-up, or all of the above, this is the banger for you. All of the artists killed it, and praised the booty with no hesitation. If it makes you want to twerk, consider its job done. Listen to “Booty” remix below!
