THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
In SINGLE-ELIMINATION bracket-style format, 24 CONTESTANTS will pay an ENTRY FEE of only $100 to compete for a CASH PRIZE of $1000, and WIN the first ever VERSE WARS Championship Belt.
Starting August 1, The R.E.H.A.B. Radio Show will begin taking submissions.
To be a POTENTIAL CONTESTANT you will choose between 3 DESIGNATED BEATS, and submit ONE 60sec VERSE via email to be CONSIDERED for the tournament. At least 30 DAYS PRIOR to the tournament,
24 CONTESTANTS will be granted the OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER the first ever VERSE WARS.
EACH CHOSEN CONTESTANT will be given the SAME 25 classic and/or memorable instrumentals
and must prepare no more than 32 BARS for each one. Contestants will be assigned a RANDOM NUMBER and BATTLE accordingly.
EACH ROUND, 1 of the 25 ASSIGNED INSTRUMENTALS will be RANDOMLY DRAWN for EACH MATCH-UP,
and will not be used for the remainder of the tournament.
EACH MATCH-UP, the BEST VERSE will move on to the NEXT ROUND, and so on
until we have 1 WINNER!!
