The TDE crew has been dropping gems lately. Last week, we received an album from Isaiah Rashad, and now the latest single from Zacari is here, and it’s something to add to your playlist!

The Bakersfield native linked up with fellow TDE member, Isaiah Rashad and Compton’s own, Buddy, for his new track, “Rainy Day.”

“Rainy Day” showcases each artists’ different styles as they exchange verses on a melodic beat. The song starts with Zacari hitting his vocals with what sounds like an old-school vibe. He sings about “keeping the rain away” from him, which could mean a bad situation that pops up and leads to no good. He also touches base on keeping all the games, thirsty people, and negativity away.

It then scratches to a deep voice on the bridge as Rashad and Buddy take turns rapping about doing damage and getting things “poppin’.” Zacari ends it with a nod to the late Biggie Smalls by taking on some lyrics from his classic “Party & Bullshit” and making it unique.

“Please don’t shoot up the party,” Zacari sings on the last chorus. “Please don’t shoot up the party tonight/Cause you keep all that bullshit outside.”
