R&B icon Mary J. Blige, in collaboration with PepsiCo., Inc., has introduced the “Strength of a Woman Scholarship” at Virginia’s Hampton University, valued at $30,000.
To qualify, candidates must be female-identifying sophomores currently studying at Hampton University and commit to full-time undergraduate enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic session.
Mary J. Blige’s $30K Scholarship targets female students in Business, Marketing, Arts, Finance, and Creative Design. To qualify, applicants should be working towards a degree in one of the mentioned fields and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 out of 4.0 or its equivalent.
The selection will be holistic, taking into account academic performance, leadership skills, involvement in school and community initiatives, work experience, and the clarity of their educational and professional aspirations.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Monday, October 16. All candidates will receive notifications in December.
