GotdamnitDupri is back with another collaborative project, continuing to define the 2022 Summer in Los Angeles. Gotdamnit Babystones helped us get the summer started and last Friday, LA Summers2 is helping us bring summer to a close.
The summer started with Gotdamnit Babystones when Dupri and Babystone Gorillas teamed up following their motivational anthem āKeep Goinā. The collaborative project expanded on the Babystonesās soulful sound with āKeep Subbingā and brought out singing 5much in āSplurgeā. The project ends with āGMFBā, a beat that perfectly transitions into LA Summers2.Ā
G Perico and the platinum producer bring us LA Summers2,Ā the second project in the LA Summers series. Dupri perfects a cruising soundtrack aligning warm horns, guitar, and backup vocals with one of LAās best storytellers. Perico sets the tone by stating he is āthe LA Underground Kingā and āa businessman not a rapperā. The project closes with a prayer from G asking for things to go his way showing the balance throughout the project.Ā Ā Ā
In both projects, Dupri brings a sound that makes you forget about the summer sweat and thankful for another LA Summer.
