Cincinnati native Arin Ray drops off his first visual of the year. “We Ain’t Homies” Ft. YG is from his poignant debut album Platinum Fire. Resembling the tone of his album, Arin’s single is a powerful nuanced blend of new/old school sounds, infused with melody and soul. It speaks to outgrowing a former lover who refuses to let go.
The video for this track takes a simple and stylized approach that compliments the complexities of Arin’s vocals while showing a slowed softer side of YG. A very pleasant musical match up! The future of R&B is in good hands with Arin. With big plans for the rest of 2018, only time will tell what success he will aspire to.
